If you're not happy with speed of your Slideshow you can change or disable the autoplay settings.
Start by going to your Slideshow's advanced options.
Once here, you can change a few things depending on what you want.
- Enable or Disable automatically changing through slides
- Change the rate at which slides are cycled.
